Social, black comedy drama film for bengali audience


After tasting success with Bengali originals – Aranyadeb,Kaali and Sharate Aaj,ZEE5 introduced The Lovely Mrs. Mookherjee,a one-of-a-kind dark comedy drama film. The film was releasedat an event in Kolkata in the presence of Swastika Mukherjee, Indranil Roy Chowdhury and Bratya Basu.Releasing on 15thMarch 2019, the film brings forth a hitherto unexplored facet of women, and that too in the most unconventional manner ever.

Director Indranil Roy Chowdhury said, “Black comedy is not a very common genre in Bangla cinema. This film is a wish fulfillment story of a young woman but told in a funny tongue in cheek way. A digital platform like ZEE5 is the perfect fit to tell the The Lovely Mrs. Mookherjee story.”
