NeelDavid Forays Into The Indian Salon Market Via Franchising

Neeldavid Katwal’s story is of resilience and determination. His journey can inspire anyone. Neeldavid comes from a very small village called Jhapa in Laxmipur,Nepal. He wanted to study abroad but his visa was refused 7 times. But he didn’t give up . With the support of his Godfather David Vinall, a British citizen he underwent training with Toni and Guy ( London ) which is considered to be the premier institution regarding creative hairstyle. Also he even trained under Mrs. Christine Blundel , a Oscar Award Winning makeup artist from Hollywood.

He could have carried on a luxurious life in London. But he didn’t. He came back to Kathmandu in 2006 and started his own 250 sq ft salon with just eight staffs.  It was just the beginning of his growth story. He launched his outlets in New Delhi signed by Shivmaya company , New Delhi as franchise .

Neeldavids is a very uprising brand and its has further potential to go even bigger. So we felt  this is the right brand for India and we signed Neeldavid. Mr Ajay and Sanjay are our partner in this group.So our plan to expand Neeldavids brand in UP as well international market and within 2022 . We will launch around 100 outlets in UP. We opened  our first venture in Agra and soon in Vaisali, Ghaziabad and in pipe line we have Kanpur,Luknow, Jhansi and Noida. We are planning to open a huge professional academy of Neeldavids international academy in Noida where we would provide 12 poor children free training and job each year.”

Neeldavid said “ My main aim is not just to open outlets. I want to bring out trained professionals who are skilled according to international levels. I want to make them self sufficient . I have around 800 staffs and my aim is to reach 5000 by 2022. Eight more franchise outlets are coming up in Nepal. I am launching Neeldavids men hair dressing academy which would be of international standards in Kathmandu.I would be looking for investors from Srilanka, Dubai, London, Australia and USA in future.
