New Delhi: The British School and The University of Warwick have joined forces to run the second edition of the prestigious Delhi Warwick Summer School in July 2016. Warwick Economics is rated in the top three of all the major specialist subject league tables for Economics in the UK. The University of Warwick was also named ‘University of the Year 2015’ in the same prestigious rankings.

The Summer School is suitable for students entering Years 12 and 13 (British System) or Class 11 and 12 (Indian System) and who have completed their IGCSE, CBSE, ICSE or other Year 10 examinations. It will be hosted at The British School from 6 – 10 July 2016 and will be taught by leading professors from University of Warwick, providing students with a unique insight into what it would be like to study economics or finance at undergraduate level. In addition to the academic lectures and seminars, the Summer School will also include personal development sessions and a gala reception and awards ceremony for students and their parents. Courses in Economics and Finance will be on offer.

According to Vanita Uppal OBE, Director, The British School, Delhi, ‘’Students should explore summer school in tandem with other important aspects that include internship programmes and commitment to community service that will help them to develop an awareness of the environment around them and encourage inquiry and learning at different levels. The aim is to enable them to find a balance between their extracurricular interests and academic responsibilities.’’
