It was yet another occasion to celebrate for music lovers of Kolkata. So, no wonder, the bangla  album launch of singer Rupam Bhuyan during Kolkata Rongali Bihu 2019  recently was a happening affair. The album is titled MANUSH KHUJE BERAI.  Rupam Bhuyan is a playback singer from Guwahati, Assam. He is the front-man of the Indian fusion band North East Breeze. He sang in numerous Assamese films . He has received multiple film and non-film awards for his songs.. The album consists of 8 songs- Ami manush  khuje berai,Tomar thikana, Bhorer surjya,Aaj ostitter, Kichu kotha,Ager mato, Dhoysha kuasha and Doshmas doshdin. The lyrics has been written by Barun Thakur, composition by Tapan Dey. Distribution of the album is by Times Music Bangla. Internationally acclaimed exponent of Indian classical dance Alokananda Roy, was present to grace the occasion.  Rupam  enthralled all the guests by crooning some of the popular Assamese bihu songs.


Rupam said “ I love everything about Kolkata, it’s very poetic and warm — the lights and shades, landscape, music, food etc.”

He added, “Nature, the surroundings, human life and its journey, relationships, and my beloved Assam inspire me.”
