Siddhi Charitable Trust comprising 18 empowered women organised a fundraiser in the aid of underprivileged children at Club Boudoir that witnessed an extraordinary turnout of more than four hundred to support the charitable cause. Well known celebrities like Indraneil Sengupta, Subhasree, Hiran, Arunima Ghosh, Rimjhim Mitra, Bickram Ghosh and others were present to cheer the wonderful ladies whose hard work and determination made the event a big success. The fundraiser had music band “Bismil” perform popular numbers and DJ Gauri from Delhi host the show that kept the guests enthralled.

“It gives us immense satisfaction to raise funds that will go into providing amenities to children who need them the most. On the occasion of Children’s Day, we decided to celebrate with the children from welfare schools run by us. Our only aim is to make them smile,” said founder-member Priti Agarwal.

Siddhi has adopted BM Memorial School in Uluberia that has 114 children aged between four to eight years and provides education and healthcare facilities along with other necessary amenities. The organisation has donated a sixteen-seater bus to BM Memorial School and installed water filters and a generator in the school apart from providing furniture in the classrooms. Siddhi has initiated a “Clean your city” campaign and 100 garbage bins have been installed in many parts of the city.

A few days back, on the occasion of Children’s Day on November 14, Siddhi took 200 children to Eco Park Urban Village for a day out.  The children were kept entertained games, contests, prizes in music, art and dance.
