Audi Kolkata is the exclusive partner of Audi in Kolkata. The brand is known for ‘Innovation, sustainability and Progress’ that shows in its luxurious and premium cars all across the globe. Their motive has been to offer luxury along with safety. Following these lines, Audi Kolkata decided to organise a drive event oat Behala Flying Club to support one of the noble campaigns which was initiated by the government of West Bengal, “SAFE DRIVE, SAVE LIFE”.
Audi keeps organizing drive events for their Q range but this time, they decided to do a slalom drive experience around their A series. This was a rare sight since people of the city got a chance to drive the A-range under expert guidance on a tarmac area. There was a sea of enthusiastic people present in the event who were waiting to try their hands on the amazing A-range series from the luxury car brand.
The chief guest of the event was Mr.Rayomand Banajee, an acclaimed racing coach and mentor who has been one of India’s most experienced instructors. An 8 times National Champion in Formula Cars and Go-Karting, he is also a respected Auto Jury Member since the past 12 years, and is also the Indian Representative in the World Karting Commission.
Mr Rayomand Banajee during the event said, “The increased number of people on the roads means that there are inherently more risks. As cars get faster, it is crucial that the owners must know the correct techniques of safe and defensive driving. The program that we are putting together will help people understand the right techniques of driving and ensure that they stay in control of the car, even in case they have to suddenly avoid an incident at speed. Importantly, we will also show them, where their limits lie and help them recognize risks that are avoidable”.
Mr. Gaurav Bajaj, Director- Audi Kolkata further added “Driving is a very responsible job. One needs to keep a lot of things in mind in order to drive safely. Audi Kolkata with this initiative tried to bring in awareness amongst the people of the city about safe driving and ways to identify the potential risks that can be avoided while driving.”
