The Pracheen Kala Kendra which is known worldwide for its creative and promotional activities with regard to Indian classical art and culture since its inception in 1956, has registered many strides in multi-level growth, re-exploration of tradition, growing self-confidence and flowering of creative spirit of Indian culture through its sincere and dedicated efforts like previous years.The Pracheen Kala Kendra is an institution that runs classes in classical dance and music and visual arts, besides propagating culture in a big way through regular programmes that draw large crowds and giving awards to artists. Besides its own branches, it grants affiliation to schools across the country and the world. Students follow a graded syllabus of the Pracheen Kala Kendra board that leads to the advanced level ‘Bhaskar’ (following Bhushan and Visharad).
Pracheen Kala Kendra Chandigarh will be organizing a musical concert and the 44th annual convocation on the 7th and 8th of January at Uttam Mancha. This announcement was done by Sajal Koser, Dr. Sobha Koser, Biswajit Motilal and others.
The musical concert on 7th will have eminent musician Pt Ajoy Chakraborty, Gopal Barman and Madhu Barman performing live for the audience. On 8th, eminent dignitaries like Pt Buddhadev Dasgupta, Chandan Sen, Udit Prasanna Mukherji, Arkaprabha Sarkar and others will be felicitated. Successful students of Visharad and Bhaskar final (session 2015-2016) of Eastern region will be given diplomas at the event.
On 7th, the chief guest will be eminent singer Pramita Mallick and on 8th Hon’ble Governor, West Bengal Keshari Nath Tripathi will be present.
