HealthCare atHOME (HCAH) enters Kolkata

Kolkata is the newest city to benefit from HealthCare atHOME’s (HCAH) home healthcare solutions. Kolkata is 3rd largest urban agglomeration after Delhi and Mumbai and is among top 5 drug markets of India; thus, making the case for entry into Kolkata. Backed by promoters of Dabur – HCAH considers Kolkata as the first step in their entry in Eastern India.

With strong emphasis on patient care & clinical treatment, HCAH delivers protocol-led, credible, accountable, technology-driven healthcare services at home via experienced, specialized and trained staff. The company also announced various tie-ups with prominent hospitals along with many multi-specialty hospitals.

Working with pharma and insurance clients before the city launch for acute care services, the company has already served 200+ patients. Patients and their families in Kolkata can now avail advanced clinical services from HCAH namely ICU at home, step down care packages (stroke rehab, assistance and recovery packages), physiotherapy services and even delivery of medicines, to name a few.

With stronghold in 40+ cities & patient base of 400,000+, HCAH will be serving all the zones in Kolkata’s urban area and Howrah region.

Mr. Vivek Srivastava, Co-founder & CEO, HCAH commenting on the expansion said, “We aim to take the city’s hospitals beyond hospital boundaries by becoming their partners for critically ill patients or post-surgery patients. We not only make health care more cost effective for them but also more comfortable owing to the familiarity of surroundings and proximity of loved ones. Kolkata is the gateway to expand our services to the eastern belt of the country. We look forward to serve the people of Kolkata with love and care, and expand to other parts of Eastern India in the near future”.

With a country wide workforce of 1500+ members and caregivers’, HCAH has done over 25,000+ oncology/immunology procedures at home and more than 20,000 ICU days at home. This has resulted in many patients to recover safely and comfortably in the place they know best i.e. Their HOME. Furthermore, using high end technology HCAH, like world class hospitals, has paperless documentation systems. Moreover, HCAH uses technology to make patient condition monitoring more effective. All staff members are equipped with a mobile tablet to track recovery curve or gauge the early onset of variations in patient health by closely monitoring the patient condition. This ensures immediate response to patient needs.

“At HCAH, we push the envelope further with the combination of our clinical expertise, innovative technology and compassionate care to make advanced clinical services possible at patient homes. We have tied up with industry experts – Critinext – to make 24/7 intensive care accessible at home for long-term ICU patients. While the clinical staff present at home is trained to handle all emergency situations, remote monitoring of patients ensures that doctors are available 24*7 for all emergency interventions. We are sure that it will be a good proposition for the patients, their family members and the hospitals in Kolkata.” said Dr. Gaurav Thukral, COO, HealthCare atHOME.
