With VIVO IPL 2019 set to begin in a few days, Star Sports announce Dev and Rukmini will be the face of Broadcast for VIVO IPL in Bengali. Season 12 of VIVO IPL will be broadcast daily on both Star Sports 1 Bangla and Jalsha movies in a special Bengali feed to give viewers the joy of watching it in their mother tongue.
The TVC featuring Dev and Rukmini gives fans an insight into watching VIVO IPL on in Bengali. The film opens with Dev and Rukmini sitting in their living room enjoying a VIVO IPL match on television. As the batsmen hits a six, Dev asks what a popular Bengali term is for six to which Rukmini replies “Baapi Bari Jaa”. A surprised Dev, asks Rukmini how she knew what it was called. Rukmini smartly says that it is all because of Star Sports 1 Bangla “Kichuitohjaanonadada, ekhane cricketer mejajialada!” – watching VIVO IPL in Bangla, with dedicated commentary, highlights and much more, has its own charm.
VIVO IPL 2019 which begun on Saturday March 23rdfrom 6:00pm onwards and fans will be able to experience every second of each match on Star Sports 1 Bangla and Jalsha Movies with commentary exclusively in Bengali. Sharing their in-depth knowledge for the game will be –Gautam Bhattacharya, Boria Majumdar, AshokeDinda, Debashish Dutta, Saradindu Mukherjee, Pradip Roy, SnehashishGanguly and Ranadeb Bose.
